MUMBAI, India, October 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The fifth annual Tata
Interactive Learning Forum (TLF) 2008 brings together industry thought
leaders to share strategies and meet challenges in learning solutions and
corporate training
The fifth annual Tata Interactive Learning Forum (TLF) was held on
October 17, 2008 at the Gleacher Center in downtown Chicago. Attended by more
than 100 representatives from the leading organizations in business and
education, the forum explored new ways to meet the challenges posed by
economic uncertainties and technological advancements.
The TLF was preceded by an evening reception at The Signature Room on the
95th(R). The main program featured two tracks-the corporate track was themed
"Leveraging Learning in an Uncertain Economy" while the education track
focused on "The Convergence of Technology in Education." The TLF 2008
showcased sessions by noted speakers and thought leaders in learning - the
TLF corporate track included sessions by Chris Glynn, Caterpillar University;
Cindy Freeman, Procter & Gamble; Darryl A. Spivey, PNC Bank; Dr. Stefan Eisen
Jr., USAF Negotiation Center of Excellence (NCE); David Bobeck, Credit
Suisse; Anand Prasad, Procter & Gamble; Dino Mauricio, Consultant; Stacey
Harris, Bersin & Associates; Irada Sadykhova, Microsoft; Beth Hying,
Caterpillar University; Christine Troianello, Avaya; and Dave Vance, former
President of Caterpillar University.
The education track featured Dr. Kunal Sen, Encyclopaedia Britannica;
Steven Rowley, The MASTER Teacher; John Whitmer, California Virtual Campus;
Diane Miller, Peoples Education; Dr Stefan Eisen Jr., USAF Negotiations
Center of Excellence; Gaith Abdo, Owner, Intecorp; Nelson B. Heller, Ph.D.
and Anne Wujcik, The Heller Reports.
The education track explored whether organizations' educational
technology initiatives and learning solutions were aligned with trends in the
marketplace, delivering the right product at the right time, designed to help
create a revenue stream, meeting the students' and customers' expectations,
and aligned with the institution's learning goals. Some of the questions that
the corporate track dealt with included creating learning solutions that
deliver value, boosting revenues by reducing time-to-competence, ensuring
that your staff is aligned to business goals, and increasing productivity and
performance.
According to Tij Nerurkar, Senior Vice President at Tata Interactive,
"The TLF is a global symposium where thought leaders and decision makers from
the learning and training industry come together to share their ideas,
innovations, and insights. Over the years, the TLF has met with, and enabled,
success around the world. The forum has been a platform for several global
organizations in New York, Chicago, London, Boston, and Sydney to share their
learning solutions and learn from the success strategies of global leaders."
