Bid on Plates Designed by Celebrities in Support of Feeding America(TM)
CHICAGO, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In support of Hunger Action Month this September, STOUFFER'S(R) has generously offered to help raise awareness for Feeding America(TM). Starting today, Feeding America invites consumers to visit charity auction site ClothesOffOurBack.org to bid on one-of-a-kind decorative dinner plates designed by celebrities such as Jewel, Blair Underwood, Seth MacFarlane and Wayne Brady. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Feeding America.
To support Feeding America, celebrities generously gave their time to decorate plates when they visited the STOUFFER'S(R) LET'S FIX DINNER(TM) Challenge lounge at a recent awards show.
STOUFFER'S is a long standing supporter of Feeding America through programs like its LET'S FIX DINNER Challenge. "We are so thankful for generous companies like STOUFFER'S, which help us fulfill our mission," said Vicki Escara, Feeding America CEO. "In helping to raise awareness for the dinner plate auction, STOUFFER'S is showing how supportive they truly are. We all know enjoying family dinners is important and Feeding America strives to provide such opportunities to families in need at this difficult time."
STOUFFER'S certainly recognizes the importance of family dinners, and so the LET'S FIX DINNER Challenge was created with the goal of encouraging families to have dinner together more often. Research supports that kids who have frequent family meals are more likely to feel that their parents are proud of them, they tend to get better grades and they are less likely to smoke, drink or use drugs. Please visit letsfixdinner.com to join the Challenge, and to learn more about the importance of family dinners.
The celebrity dinner plates are up for auction at www.clothesoffourback.org beginning today and running through September 29th. Plates are decorative only and are not for food use or dishwasher safe. The complete list of celebrity- decorated dinner plates includes:
