PITTSBURGH, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Westinghouse Electric Company today
announced the signing of a comprehensive, 10-year agreement with FirstEnergy
Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) through which Westinghouse will provide
services and support to FENOC's nuclear fleet, which includes the Beaver
Valley Nuclear Power Station in Shippingport, Pa.; the Davis-Besse Power
Station in Oak Harbor, Ohio; and the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, Ohio.
Under terms of the agreement, Westinghouse's services will range from
large component replacement and engineering services to outage support and
spare parts supply. The agreement, tailored specifically to meet FENOC needs,
will enable FENOC and Westinghouse to work together to improve in key focus
areas associated with safety, plant reliability and efficiency.
