Lora Gier Promoted to Vice President, Publisher, Taste of Home
 

CHICAGO, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Lora Gier has been promoted to the new position of Vice President, Publisher, Taste of Home (TOH), it was announced today by Suzanne M. Grimes, President, Food and Entertaining, The Reader's Digest Association, Inc. (RDA). Gier assumes this role from her previous position as Vice President, Integrated Partnerships, Taste of Home, a position she has held since June, 2007. Gier is based in Chicago.

"As Taste of Home began accepting in-book advertising for the first time in 2007, Lora has played an important strategic role, assembling a formidable national ad sales and marketing team and guiding the development of unique marketing partnerships that leverage the Taste of Home brand across all platforms -- print, online, experiential and custom publishing," said Grimes. "Building on the tremendous in roads she has already made, Lora will continue collaborating with the editorial, consumer marketing, and business development teams, contemporizing our approach to the market to create new opportunities and fuel continued long term success."

Lora will continue to work closely with the Integrated Sales and Marketing team in New York that represents Food & Entertaining @ RDA, to integrate TOH with the company's other food assets Every Day with Rachael Rayand allrecipes.com.

Gier joined Taste of Home in June 2007 from Conde Nast Publications (CNP) where she spent 10 years as Corporate Sales Director, responsible for the corporate sales and marketing programs of all CNP print and digital properties. Prior to this, she managed the Midwest sales office of Vogue. Gier also held key sales management positions at Globe Media, Esquire, Outside, Spectrum Television and IT Subscription Television.
