DALLAS, TX USA

DALLAS, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- hotels.com(R), the largest provider of lodging worldwide, today announced it will celebrate the approach of one million reviews on its site with the "Millionth Review" sweepstakes. The sweepstakes, which runs now through Jan. 15, 2009, will award five weekly winners a three-night getaway for two in the United States and one lucky winner a vacation for two to a five-star resort in Bora Bora. All hotels.com guests who write a review during the sweepstakes entry period will be automatically entered to win the international trip.

"At hotels.com, we truly value our guests' opinions and are proud of the extensive collection of reviews our site offers," said Scott Booker, chief hotel expert and guest advocate for hotels.com. "The 'Millionth Review' sweepstakes is one way we can thank our guests for providing this content that gives fellow travelers the insight they need to find the perfect lodging for each trip."

hotels.com began offering guest reviews on its site in 2005, receiving its first review on a property in Atlanta, Ga. Over the course of three years, the hotels.com collection of guest reviews (http://www.hotels.com/guest-reviews) has grown to nearly one million with feedback from experienced travelers available on more than 43,000 properties.

"Only people who have booked and completed their stay through hotels.com can post reviews on our site," said Booker. "So visitors to hotels.com know they are reading honest and unbiased details from guests who have actually stayed at the property."

In May 2008 the guest review offering on hotels.com became even more helpful to travelers with a new sorting feature. Visitors to the site can arrange reviews by trip type, such as romance, business, family, and friends, making it easier to view relevant opinions from travelers who took similar trips.

The "Millionth Review" sweepstakes runs through Jan. 15, 2009 and all U.S. residents 18 and older are eligible to enter. The following prizes will be awarded:

-- One winner will receive a trip for two to Bora Bora, which includes:
-- Round-trip airfare on Air Tahiti Nui
-- One-night stay in a four-star resort in Tahiti, including breakfast
-- Boat transportation to Bora Bora
-- Four-night stay at the five-star Bora Bora Resort and Thallaso Spa
-- $1,000 spending money in the form of MasterCard gift cards
-- Five winners will receive a getaway for two with a round-trip flight
and a three-night stay at any four-star luxury boutique Kimpton hotel
in the U.S. chosen by the winner.

Prize winners will be notified after the conclusion of the sweepstakes in mid-January.
