SMC Networks to Showcase 10G Networking Solutions and Technologies that Enable Virtualized Environments and Provide Unprecedented Network Management Capabilities at SC08
AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- SMC Networks(R), a leading provider of advanced, high performance networking solutions for the SMB and enterprise markets, will be showcasing the industry's first available 10GBASE-T networking solution, revealing its new family of managed service platforms and announcing a number of key technology partnerships at the SC Conference, Nov. 17-20, 2008, at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
SMC Networks will demonstrate the industry's first complete 10G Ethernet solution, including the TigerSwitch(TM) 24-port 10G Managed Switch (SMC8724-10BT) and Tiger Card(TM) 10G Server Adapter (SMC10GPCIe-10BT), at SC08 (booth #1741). The solution, which is the only system that is capable of meeting the full 100 meter distance IEEE specification, incorporates innovative technology from cPacket Networks and Solarflare Communications to provide real-time, wire-speed network visibility and management, and maximum I/O performance to support critical applications such as cluster computing, high-performance computing and real-time business applications.
Also making its debut at SC08 will be SMC's Tiger Access(TM) Managed Services Platform, a family of integrated hardware and software solutions that enable the VARs and IT administrators to remotely monitor and manage their networks through a standard Web browser. The Managed Service Platform product family is based upon storage and processor technology from Intel, and ships with Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Server Solutions to ensure easy and seamless integration into the existing network environment.
SMC will also announce the vast improvements to its three-tier Elite Partner Program.
