Jaspersoft's Online Store Expands With New Web-Based Training Programs and BI Utilities
New offerings help lower costs while driving increased value for both Professional and Community customers
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Jaspersoft, provider of the world's
most widely-deployed business intelligence (BI) software, today announced the
launch of its new web-based training programs and a variety of new utilities
available now in the Jaspersoft Store. The online store has become a popular
destination for BI customers with more than 9,000 transactions during the last
3 years.
The Jaspersoft Store is the definitive destination for both Professional
and Community customers for a variety of software products and utilities, as
well as documentation, support and training. Jaspersoft's eCommerce strategy
is a natural progression of its business model, which is designed to deliver a
consistent and valuable service and support experience for all of its
customers. As a result, thousands of organizations are taking advantage of
this self-service model to meet their specific needs.
"Expanding the Jaspersoft Store is a natural step towards delivering the
most valuable package of BI software and support in the industry," said
Jaspersoft CEO, Brian Gentile. "This is a direct reflection of what is a top
priority for Jaspersoft: providing high value to both Community and
Professional Edition customers alike."
Jaspersoft's two new web-based training courses give users step-by-step
instruction at their own pace with video demonstrations and audio narration on
how to design, develop and distribute sophisticated reports using Jaspersoft's
iReport design tool. Classroom courses taught by Jaspersoft experts with
experience in cross-industry implementation are also available for customers
looking to accelerate productivity.
In addition to providing self-service access to goods and services for
Jaspersoft's customers and community, the Store will also allow partners to
deliver additional value to their customers. For example, Openbravo has
embedded JasperReports in its products and recommends iReport to its customers
to enhance reports in its ERP solution. The company will now provide one-click
navigation for its customers to the new web-based training in the Jaspersoft
Store.
"Giving our customers direct access to online training is a win-win for
Openbravo," said Josep Mitja, COO of Openbravo. "Many more of our customers
will now be able to learn how to take advantage of Jaspersoft's advanced
reporting capabilities, which in turn will create more value from the data in
their Openbravo solutions."
For the first time, Jaspersoft is also introducing a suite of software
utilities designed to increase the productivity of both Professional and
Community customers:
-- Jaspersoft ODBO Connect(TM), a driver which allows users of Microsoft
Excel(R) to connect and interact with JasperAnalysis;
-- JasperReports Template Exporter(TM), an add-on library for
JasperReports which allows column sorting, section folding, and pop-up
windows;
-- JasperReports Column Manager(TM), an add-on library for JasperReports,
which hides or shows columns based on user input or other parameters.
The Jaspersoft Store also offers a variety of advanced documentation
including the Definitive Guide series and the Ultimate Guide series.
Incident-based support packs for the Jaspersoft Community Edition products are
also available. For information and access to any of these offerings, please
