Bally Leads 2009 Gaming & Technology Awards; Company's Award-Winning Games, Systems Technology on Display at Global Gaming Expo November 18-20

Bally continues winning streak as iVIEW(TM) Display Manager(TM), Blazing 7s(TM) Multi-Slot Receive First-Place Honors

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines, casino management systems, and networked solutions for the global gaming industry, will add to its success in 2008 by receiving five awards from Global Gaming Business magazine's Seventh Annual Gaming & Technology Award competition -- more than any other company.

Bally earned two first-place nods -- the most of any award recipient -- in the magazine's contest, which recognizes excellence in innovation and practical application in all gaming disciplines. Five esteemed judges from across the gaming industry selected the winners. Global Gaming Business will present the awards during the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) next week. All of Bally's award winners will be on display at the Company's G2E exhibit (booth #1236).

Bally, the fastest-growing major gaming manufacturer, took first place in the "Best Consumer Service Technology" category for its iVIEW(TM) Display Manager(TM), and in the "Best Slot Product" category for its Blazing 7s(TM) Multi-Slot stepper game (submitted as GameMaker(R) HD Reel Slot Multi-Game).

The iVIEW Display Manager enables gaming operators to display systems content and other content anywhere on the game, including the main game screen, the top game display, and even the overhead display with picture-in-picture capability. This cutting-edge technology enables gaming operators to present systems content on the displays of most manufacturers' gaming machines through the iVIEW processor rather than the game processor, eliminating the need for separate regulatory approvals and complex integration efforts.

Bally's Blazing 7s Multi-Slot is one of the first multi-game steppers in the history of gaming. The winning device incorporates three unique game themes and one classic gaming brand -- Bally's iconic Blazing 7s. Blazing 7s Multi-Slot gives players the same choice and control on a reel-spinner that they have with a multi-game video slot machine.

"We are thrilled with the recognition that the team of well-respected judges has bestowed upon Bally Technologies," said Bally's Chief Operating Officer Gavin Isaacs. "These top awards emphasize our dedication to innovation and delivering the most cutting-edge and efficient games and systems technologies. This acknowledgement continues to make 2008 a banner year for Bally."

Bally also received second place in the "Best Productivity-Enhancement Technology" category with its Download Configuration Manager(TM); third place in the "Best Table Game Product or Innovation" category with its TableView(TM) Real-Time Table Rating & Player Tracking; and an Honorable Mention in the "Best Slot Product" category for its DualVision(TM) two-player video gaming cabinet.
