Pizza Hut(R) Offers 75 Free eMusic.com Downloads With Online Orders
PizzaHut.com users can choose from more than 4 million digital tracks with offer
DALLAS, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- America's Favorite Pizza never sounded so
good. Today, you can download your favorite songs for free from eMusic after
placing your online order at pizzahut.com. After selecting Pizza Mia(TM)
pizza, Tuscani Pastas, WingStreet(R) wings or any other Pizza Hut favorites,
customers will receive 75 free eMusic.com(R) MP3 downloads, which can be
played on any MP3 player including the iPod(R), iPhone(TM) and Zune(R).
"The same customers who order online from pizzahut.com are also big fans
of downloading music online, so this promotion is a natural fit," said Bob
Kraut, VP of Marketing Communications for Pizza Hut. "Seventy-five free tunes
is a lot of music. This is something that eMusic has never been able to offer
before and we're proud to be the first to bring this exclusive offer to our
customers."
How it Works
When customers place an order at pizzahut.com during the promotional
period, November 5 through December 27, they'll receive a link to a microsite
where they can download 75 songs. Customers pick 25 free promotional songs
from a special Pizza Hut playlist, plus any 50 songs from eMusic's four
million song catalog as part of a 14-day free trial of eMusic. If they don't
cancel the trial subscription, they'll get 30 downloads a month for only
$11.99 -- less than half the price of competing download sites. Regardless of
whether they become a paid subscriber, customers get to keep their 75 free
tracks, courtesy of eMusic and Pizza Hut.
"This exclusive offer through Pizza Hut and eMusic is an amazing value for
consumers. Where else can you get dinner and 75 songs for under $15?" said
Jaime Levit McDonald, director of Business Development & Strategic
Partnerships at eMusic. "We're pleased to work with Pizza Hut to reward their
customers with this terrific music premium. What a great way to spend an
evening: sharing great music and great pizza with your family and friends."
eMusic is the largest service to sell music exclusively in the popular MP3
format, which is compatible with all digital audio devices including the iPod,
iPhone, and Zune. eMusic has sold more than 200 million downloads since 2003,
making it second only to iTunes in online music sales.
Having recently surpassed $1 billion in online sales, Pizza Hut continues
to bring exciting promotions and offers to the Web, while offering customers
new ways to order all their Pizza Hut favorites. Pizza Hut is shaking up the
way customers buy their pizzas with innovations including:
-- Interface -- a new Facebook ordering application that allows customers
to place orders within their Facebook profile
-- Total Mobile Access -- offers customers the ability to order from Pizza
Hut via text message or mobile Web
-- Pizza Hut Shortcut -- a downloadable application that allows customers
to place pizza orders directly from their computer desktops
-- eGift Cards -- first in the category to offer gift cards that may be
purchased, exchanged and redeemed entirely online
