Global Leader in the Manufacturing of High-Quality Audio and Electronic Products Achieves Real Business Value Utilizing the Pcubed Portfolio Management Solution
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Pcubed -- the global leaders in
helping organizations conceive, manage and deliver their most challenging
program and projects -- announced at the PMI Global Congress in Denver,
Colorado, that the Pcubed Portfolio Management Solution was successfully
delivered for Harman International. The joint presentation delivered by Daniel
Ling of Pcubed and Sylvester Johnson of Harman International, presented on
Monday, October 20, 2008, covered the real business value of this solution to
Harman International.
Pcubed delivered a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Solution that allows
executives to review all fiscal year initiatives, create various portfolio
options, and choose the portfolio that maximizes the business value of their
investment. The Harman International IT Project Management Office (PMO) is in
charge of providing the business with the right processes and tools to
strategically align, prioritize, and monitor all programs and projects on a
global basis, while working within the identified budget and resource
constraints. This delivered solution has a projected multi million dollar
return on investment when the solution is fully implemented and utilized.
The solution entails a seamless integration between the organization's
accounting, project and portfolio management tools to optimize business
productivity. The initial scope of the project focused on obtaining visibility
and control of the IT portfolio for the Automotive OEM and Consumer divisions;
next, the Professional and Corporate divisions will include their projects
worldwide. Through successful delivery of this global initiative, Pcubed will
enable Harman International to realize corporate strategy through project and
program delivery, resulting in a direct positive impact on business health.
The technology components of the solution include SAP, Microsoft Office
Project Portfolio Server 2007, Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, the
Pcubed Project and Portfolio Server Gateway, and the TPG PSLink and
ResourceLink to integrate the SAP and Microsoft products.
Adrian Balfour, Pcubed Founder and President, commented: "I am excited
that we have designed and delivered a Project Portfolio Management Solution
that delivers real business value for Harman International, leveraging our
partnership with Microsoft and TPG."
