Webasto Sunroofs Again the Roof System of Choice for SEMA Project Vehicles
FENTON, Mich., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Finding no equal, numerous
aftermarket experts have once again chosen the superior quality of Webasto
sunroofs to highlight their specialized vehicles at the Specialty Equipment
Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.
The Hollandia TVS 900 (Twin Vent Sunroof) combines innovative design and
unique technologies into a game-changing formula that redefined the
aftermarket sunroof business when introduced at SEMA last year. Two features
that differentiate the TVS 900 from traditional sunroofs are its inherent
twin-vent design and the optional rain sensor that closes the Webasto sunroof
at the first detection of any rain drops.
"What really caught my attention was the twin-vent design and features,"
said Neil Tjin, president of Tjin Edition in Irvine, Calif., which prepared a
2009 Honda Fit and a Pontiac G8 GT for SEMA.
"Over the past decade, my team and I have built and designed over 75 high
profile vehicles. We are always looking for new products to set our projects
apart. When we saw the new Webasto TVS-900 twin-vent sunroof we knew we had
to have one for the Tjin Edition Pontiac G8 GT."
Webasto sunroofs can be found on a wide variety of vehicles throughout the
massive SEMA show, including:
-- 2009 Honda Fit (at Honda booth #24887)
-- 2009 Lexus IS-F (at Lexus booth)
-- Pontiac G8 GT (at GM booth #23743)
-- 2008 Ford F-450 (dual Webasto sunroofs, at Ford booth)
"I chose the Webasto sunroof because of its design and technology," said
Brian Fox of Fox Marketing in York, Penn. which developed the Lexus IS-F. "You
get so much with an aftermarket Webasto roof, yet it's more affordable than
one fitted to the car at the factory. And the rain sensor is so cool! People
are amazed when I show them that this roof closes automatically at the first
signs of rain."
A few of the Honda Fit's modifications in addition to Webasto's Hollandia
TVS 900 sunroof, include: sport front and rear bumper, Ken Style side skirts
and rear wing, full custom rewrapped and custom stitched interior (black and
tan leather), Magnaflow exhaust, 16" BBS RS wheels (custom painted black) and
Dunlop 205/40/16 Tires.
"As we were designing our 2009 Honda Fit we were looking for some key
modifications to really set the Tjin Edition Fit apart from the rest of the
Fit's that would be debuting at SEMA," said Gene Tjin, president of Tjin
Edition Tour. "And with this new twin-vent sunroof, we really feel like we
accomplished our goal."
K Daddyz Kustomz of Bakersfield, Calif., has taken a Ford F-450 and
created a truly custom ride. "We received so much positive feedback from
consumers and the media regarding the quality and styling of the Webasto
panoramic sunroof that was installed in (a project last year), that the
decision for us to partner again with Webasto was really a no brainer for us,"
said Mike Healy of K Daddyz.
