Nomura Releases Algorithmic Trading Strategies for U.S. Markets

NEW YORK, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Nomura announced today that Nomura Securities International, Inc. (NSI) a U.S. broker-dealer within Nomura has released a set of algorithmic trading strategies for external client use in U.S. equity markets as part of the global ModelEx((TM)) family of strategies.

The new strategies will complement Nomura's market-leading European and Asian algorithmic trading suites, which have an established track record of competitive execution performance. The launch of the Algorithmic trading strategies represents another positive step for our firm," stated Ciaran O'Kelly, Managing Director and Head of Equities, Americas.

Initially, Nomura will offer the following eight core strategies: VWAP, TWAP, WithVolume, IS, Target Close, On Close, Target Open and On Open. Additional strategies are under development and testing. Clients can access the strategies through a growing list of third party order management systems.
