PCT International Unveils First Compression Tool to Combine One-Handed Operation and 360-Degree Compression
TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- PCT International, a leading worldwide manufacturer of last mile and access network solutions for broadband communications networks, announced today the availability of the first compression tool that combines the advantages of one-handed operation and 360-degree compression.
The PCT-RH-CT-AS, created by PCT International in response to specific feedback from field engineers, has a modified horseshoe design that provides installers with greater reach and maneuverability within existing boxes and other restricted spaces, yet delivers equal pressure around the entire circumference of TRS 6, 59 and 11 connectors.
PCT International will demonstrate the PCT-RH-CT-AS at its booth (#13089) at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo October 28-30 in Denver.
"With the industry's increased emphasis on signal quality, the margin of error in connector installations is narrower than ever," said Tim Youtsey, vice president, engineering for PCT International. "The PCT-RH-CT-AS's unique design ensures that installers can avoid miscompression and prevent the leakage or interruption of signals to the consumer."
Designed with a compact profile to allow greater flexibility in tight installations, the PCT-RH-CT-AS tool builds on the existing "horseshoe" design by incorporating a slide that allows the jaws to close while compressing the connector, delivering 360-degrees of compression support.
"As new and more complex installation situations arise, it is important that vendors deliver the innovation that spawns efficient, effective solutions," said Youtsey. "The PCT-RH-CT-AS is a direct result of our deep experience in designing and manufacturing materials and tools our customers need to ensure that consumers receive the highest possible quality of voice, video and data services."
