CA Receives 'Strong Positive' Rating in Leading Analyst Firm's Records Management MarketScope Report

(Nasdaq: CA) today announced that CA received a "Strong Positive" -- the highest possible rating -- in Gartner's 2009 "MarketScope for Records Management."* CA was one of 9 vendors evaluated in the report. CA Records Manager, part of CA's comprehensive Information Governance solution, automates record-keeping processes to help users gain faster access to information, save time and money and facilitate compliance with regulatory, legal and business requirements.
According to the report, Gartner estimates that the worldwide records management market was worth approximately $460 million in software license and maintenance revenue in 2008, an increase of 15% from 2007. This market is forecast to have a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12% between 2009 and 2014.

According to Gartner, the DOD 5015.2 has become the de facto benchmark for records management products, particularly in the U.S.
