More Than Half of All Parties Say President's Health Care Speech Was 'Somewhat' or 'Extremely Effective'

FLEMINGTON, N.J., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- A new national media study among 951 viewers of President Barack Obama's speech to Congress in which he focused on his plan for health care reform revealed that more than half of all political parties reported that the speech was "somewhat or extremely effective."

The study was conducted by HCD Research last night among self-reported Republicans, Democrats and Independents to obtain their perceptions of President Obama's speech focusing on U.S. health care reform. To view detailed results go to: www.mediacurves.com.

The study also revealed that the majority of Democrats reported that they have a better perception of health care reform after viewing Obama's speech, while Republicans' perceptions were relatively unchanged and Independents were split on their reactions to the speech.
