NIRI San Diego Presents: 'Seeing in the Dark: Shining a Light on 'Hidden Trading' and the New Liquidity'

IR Professionals, CEOs, and CFOs Gain Visibility into 'Dark Pools' on Thursday, September 24, 2009, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Diego chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI San Diego) will kick off its 2009-2010 program year on Thursday, Sept. 24, with a lively discussion about "dark pools," alternative electronic stock exchanges that give large investors more liquidity and anonymity.

Liquidnet, a prominent facilitator of electronic institutional trading, will provide insight into the changing structure of our capital markets and explore the growing trend of moving institutional trading away from the central exchanges and the public view on the open market. It's a topic every Investor Relations Professional, CFO, and CEO should know more about. The presentation is open to NIRI members, guests, and professionals from related fields. As a special bonus, attendees will receive a customized data report on their company's stock.

A networking reception will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the presentation from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at BioMed Realty Trust, Inc., 17190 Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92128. The cost is $45 for members and $60 for non-members; please register by email at rsvp@nirisandiego.org by Monday, September 21st. The cost on-site for walk-ins is $55 for members and $70 for non-members.
