Former Patent Judge Brings Extensive Knowledge of USPTO to Global Intellectual Property Firm
WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Sughrue Mion, PLLC announced today the addition of Stuart S. Levy as Of Counsel to the firm. Mr. Levy previously served as Administrative Patent Judge with the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Mr. Levy brings more than 37 years of experience from his long career at the USPTO. And his considerable knowledge of the USPTO will further strengthen the firm's continuing quest to have the highest quality patents issued for our global clients."
While at the patent office, Mr. Levy was involved in a number of notable projects. "Intellectual property assets have become even more important as companies of all sizes struggle for higher valuations. Stuart's arrival helps Sughrue add even more value to the services we offer," added Ms. Weber. "His knowledge of the USPTO from the inside out, as well as his leadership in revising and redefining patent procedures will be extremely helpful in guiding IP strategies for our clients."
"The opportunity to work with the team of outstanding lawyers at Sughrue Mion, with their focus on global intellectual property issues, was a logical next step for me," said Mr. Levy.
