Orange County Great Park Adds 'Comedy Corner' to Its Summer Line-Up
 
Comics seen on Comedy Central, Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson and the Improv will perform beginning August 1st

IRVINE, Calif., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The best summer concert series in Orange County now has the best summer comedy series, with the addition of the "Comedy Corner" stand-up comic line-up to the "Flights & Sounds of Summer" series at the Orange County Great Park. The series kicks off Saturday, August 1st with Tim Shaw, the winner of Orange County's Funniest Person, and CBS Mobile's Jonny Loquasto. The stand-up comedy show will take place before the concert by nine-time All-Ireland award-winning Celtic fiddler Eileen Ivers, musical star of the international hit "Riverdance."

"Flights and Sounds of Summer" features nine weeks of concerts and dance parties presented by the Orange County Great Park and the Irvine Barclay Theatre that will run through September 26th. In addition to the Friday night dances and Saturday night concerts, the "Comedy Corner," located on the terrace in front of the Hangar Cafe at the Great Park, will feature comedians seen on The Tonight Show, Conan O'Brien, Comedy Central, Craig Ferguson and at the Improv. Shows start at 7:00 p.m. sharp every Friday and Saturday night; live music begins at 8:00 p.m. on the nearby main stage. Admission is free for an evening of comedy and music, and parking is just $8.
