FEI Announces Election of 2009-2010 Board of Directors
Gerald R. Urich to Serve as FEI Chair
FLORHAM PARK, N.J., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Executives International (FEI), the preeminent association for financial executives, announced today the election of a new slate of executive officers for the fiscal year, effective immediately.
Gerald R. Urich, director, external reporting and compliance for The Hershey Company in Hershey, Pennsylvania, was elected to the position of FEI's national chair, after serving as co-vice president at large for the previous year. Urich, who has been a member of FEI since 1997, also served on the FEI Board of Directors, Executive Committee as treasurer and the chair of the FEI's Pension & Investment and Budget & Finance Committees. He was formerly the 2001 chapter president of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter and was the recipient of the 2007 FEI Distinguished Service Award.
Additional elected officers for the 2009-2010 year include:
- Brian B. Ruttencutter, CFO of the Cumming Group, will continue to serve as vice chair. Ruttencutter has been a member of FEI since 1989, and a member of the FEI Board of Directors for eight years. He has served on FEI's Diversity Committee, Audit, and Nominating Committees. Ruttencutter was a member of the Board of Trustees of Financial Executives Research Foundation (FERF) from 2004-2006. He served as the Orange County chapter president in 1999 and was the former President and CEO of ABC Window Company, Inc.
- George Boyadjis, executive director of CresaPartners, Minneapolis, Minnesota, will serve as senior vice president at large. A member of the FEI Board for three years, Boyadjis chairs the Strategic Planning Committee for FEI and has also been a trustee and chair of FERF. He has previously served as a member of FEI's Ethics and Eligibility Committee and as president of FEI's Twin Cities Chapter.
- Marsha Hunt, vice president and controller of Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Indiana, will serve as vice president at large. Hunt has been a trustee of Financial Executives Research Foundation from 2003 to 2009, a member of the FEI Hall of Fame Selection Committee, a member of FEI's Strategic Planning Committee and the Committee on Corporate Reporting. She has been a member of FEI since 2000. Hunt has held her position at Cummins Inc. since 2003 and was previously assistant controller at Corning Inc.
- Taylor Hawes, CFO of intellectual property & licensing for Microsoft Corporation, will serve as treasurer. Before joining Microsoft, Hawes was the North America Controller for U.K. based Raleigh Bicycle Corporation. Hawes has been a member of FEI since 2002, serves on the Committee on Finance & Information Technology (CFIT), and previously served as a trustee and chair of FERF.
- Katherine Anderson, CFO for the Seattle Opera, will continue to serve as secretary. Anderson previously served on the FEI Board of Directors as an area vice president. She is currently a member of the strategic planning committee and has served on the Nominating, Pension & Investment, and Budget & Finance committees. She has been a member of FEI since 1994 and was the Washington State chapter president in 2001.
