SALT LAKE CITY, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Sparxent, an IT and business solution provider focused on the middle market, announced it has completed its acquisition of XAware, Inc., a data integration company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. With the addition of XAware, Sparxent will simplify the process of integrating software applications from multiple sources in an existing IT environment.

Using service-oriented architecture (SOA), XAware offers bi-directional, real-time data access. XAware solutions are built on open source, offering both a low cost of entry and a high level of integration with existing legacy systems. As a result, XAware technologies are particularly attractive to medium sized companies.

In 2008, XAware was named one of the top ten open source companies to watch by Network World. The company has worked with industry leaders such as IBM and Sun, and has a strong client roster. In addition, XAware's open source project, XAware.org, has been recognized as one of the fastest growing open source communities with more than 10,000 members.

This is Sparxent's third acquisition since the company's formation in August 2008. Sparxent is focused on combining solutions, integration, consulting, development and services into a single IT resource for medium-sized companies.
