David W. Whitmore Joins Levick Strategic Communications as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel
 

WASHINGTON, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Levick Strategic Communications, global leader in high-stakes and litigation communications, welcomes David W. Whitmore as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel.

Whitmore comes to Levick with over 25 years of financial and operational experience. He has spent the lion's share of his career in the communications industry, working with public relations, public affairs, lobbying, and advertising firms.

Before joining Levick, Whitmore was Executive Vice President of Racepoint Group in Washington, D.C. with operational responsibility for the firm's public affairs, government relations, crisis management, and issues management practice groups.

Whitmore also served Shandwick Washington/The Cassidy Companies (the Washington, D.C. branch of Weber Shandwick) in several capacities, including Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and as a member of the Board of Directors. As M&A Officer, North America for IPG at Shandwick, he closed on acquisitions of public affairs, crisis, and lobbying firms valued at more than $120 million.

He received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and his B.S. in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
