Westinghouse N-Vision Announces Winners of Science Video Contest
- Middle and High School Students Encouraged to Participate
- To Promote Reflection on Nuclear and Other Energy Sources
PITTSBURGH, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Westinghouse Electric Company announced today its winning entries for its N-Vision Forms of Energy Contest. The High School winning video came from Butler Senior High School located in Butler, Pa., and was produced by the school's 11th and 12th grade Television Production class. The Middle School winning video came from McKinley Middle School in Racine, Wisc.
Administered through the company's speaker's bureau, N-Vision, the contest is designed to encourage young persons to think about energy in the context of worldwide political, economic and environmental realities.
The contest is open to all middle and high schools and the winning videos were chosen from 25 entries. To be eligible, each video must outline three key advantages of nuclear power and two other forms of energy. The video can be staged as a short play, commercial, news broadcast, talk show, music video, documentary, etc. Students are encouraged to be creative, yet informative.
