maxIT Healthcare Partners with HCIC to Offer Stimulus Readiness Assessment
Healthcare organizations can receive $3 - $11 million for implementing EHR through The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
WESTFIELD, Ind., May 26/PRNewswire/ --maxIT Healthcare LLC (maxIT) announced their partnership with Baltimore- based Healthcare Information Consultants, LLC (HCIC) to offer assessments for healthcare organizations who want to receive reimbursements for implementing EHRs (Electronic Health Records). Small, single location healthcare organizations such as community hospitals and clinics can receive up to $3 million in reimbursements, while larger, multi-location organizations can receive up to $11 million.
"Reimbursements from The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) promise to be an important factor in accelerating the implementations of EHR's," says Mike Sweeney of maxIT Healthcare. "As this important initiative from the Federal government unfolds and more information becomes available, healthcare organizations will get answers to the myriad of questions regarding eligibility and reimbursement, "says Mr. Sweeney. "In the meantime, maxIT wanted to be in front of the curve to help our healthcare clients prepare to take advantage of the opportunity. Creating this low-cost assessment will let healthcare organizations understand their strengths and gaps that could impact reimbursement. Partnering with HCIC was a natural choice based on their expertise and insights into the ARRA initiatives," said Mr. Sweeney.
"We are excited to help maxIT clients navigate the waters of the ARRA initiative," said James Oakes of HCIC. "EHR is a critical part of the future of healthcare and HCIC is on the forefront of this new frontier. There are specific benchmarks that have to be met in order to receive ARRA reimbursements and each healthcare organization has specific areas of focus. We can give practical, specific advice and guidelines to get the organization on track and increase eligibility for reimbursements, and this is a benefit to all parties of the healthcare industry," said Mr. Oakes.
