NEW YORK, May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Scientific Games (Nasdaq: SGMS) announced the California State Lottery has extended the Company's current contract as the primary supplier of instant tickets and related services including marketing, planning and research services for an additional four years. The amendment commences in July 2009 and extends the existing contract to 2013.

In fiscal year 2008, the California Lottery produced $3 billion in lottery sales, over half of which was generated by instant tickets, and returned $1.1 billion to education. Since inception in 1985, the California Lottery has raised more than $20 billion to fund specific education programs.
