Forest Park Welcomes New Retailers

Pleasantburg Drive's Most Eclectic Shopping Center Continues Area's Revitalization

GREENVILLE, S.C., May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Butterflies & Bullfrogs isn't the only thing hopping at Forest Park. The children's boutique is just one of several retailers and restaurants recently added to the center anchored by The Fresh Market.

Located at Antrim Drive and Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville, Forest Park adds an eclectic mix of retail to the well traveled, revitalized area. Like Garner's Natural Life, which opened at Forest Park in September, the new retailers add local flavor with regional appeal.

"Forest Park continues to evolve as a unique shopping experience," commented Lyle Darnall, Edens & Avant Managing Director. "The Fresh Market is a tremendous draw, and we continue to work to bring in retailers that offer character and great products and service for shoppers in this area."

Celebrating their grand opening on Saturday, Butterflies & Bullfrogs sells children's clothing from newborn to size 6 as well as gift items including hooded towels and diaper bags. Owned by local Greenville artist Pamela Brock, the store also features hand-painted furniture and fixtures.

Located next door and catering to serious coffee enthusiasts is Coffee & Crema, where the focus is on quality and freshness. Coffee & Crema is the second location for Greenville resident, Shannon Hudgens, and the store serves up more than delicious coffee for customers. Local artists and musicians are showcased frequently. Hudgens places particular emphasis on his relationships with employees, the coffee growers that supply his business and his customers.

"I believe in the power of an ethical business model to improve the livelihoods of farmers, roasters, retailers and customers," said Hudgens. "Coffee & Crema is a ridiculously small company, but even small things sometimes move big objects. And that's what we want to do - stay small while positively impacting every single person with whom we do business."

Adding to the appeal of the center through high-quality foods and service are Smoothie King and Subway, which opened earlier this year. Additional retailers will be opening and announced in the coming months.

"We envision the final merchandise mix at Forest Park to include more restaurants, a nail spa, a home furnishings store, a women's boutique and a fashion jewelry retailer," added Darnall.
