Robert D. Starr Appointed Vice President and Treasurer at Kaman Corp.
BLOOMFIELD, Conn., April 29/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --Kaman Corp. (NasdaqGS: KAMN) today announced the appointment of Robert D. Starr, 41, as Vice President and Treasurer, reporting to William C. Denninger, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Starr joins Kaman from Crane Company (NYSE: CR), Stamford, Connecticut, a $2.6 billion diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products, where he served as Assistant Treasurer. His responsibilities will include oversight of the treasury department, banking relationships, capital market transactions and investment management administration of the company's pension assets.
Denninger said, "Rob brings with him twenty years of experience in the finance and treasury functions. He possesses a wealth of capital markets knowledge and that familiarity will be extremely valuable to the company as we continue to implement our long-term growth strategy."
Prior to joining Crane, Starr served as Managing Director, Corporate Finance at Aetna, Inc. Hartford, Connecticut and as Director, Capital Markets and Risk Management at Fisher Scientific International, Inc. Hampton, New Hampshire. He was previously an associate at both Salomon Smith Barney in New York and Chase Securities, Inc. in New York and Singapore. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and in 1997 he received an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant
Rob, his wife Ming and their children Ari, Zachary and Elias will relocate to the Bloomfield area.
