2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Aims for 1,000 Miles on Single Tank of Gas
To demonstrate Ford Motor Company's (NYSE: F) commitment to be the best or among the best in fuel economy in every vehicle segment in which it competes, the Ford Fusion Hybrid team is attempting to drive more than 1,000 miles on a single tank of gas. Team members include NASCAR star Carl Edwards and world-record breaking hypermiler Wayne Gerdes. Ford Continues Rapid Quality Improvement, Surpasses Honda in Initial Quality
A new survey shows Ford has surpassed Honda in initial vehicle quality for the first time and reached new levels of customer satisfaction with vehicle quality. The 2009 U.S. Global Quality Research System (GQRS) survey conducted by RDA Group of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. also shows Ford statistically is tied with Toyota at the top of the industry in regard to initial vehicle quality. The study showed Ford Lincoln Mercury improved 2 percentage points to 79 percent in customer satisfaction with vehicle quality, putting Ford's domestic brands in a tie for industry leadership. more...

The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and 2009 Escape Hybrid were named to Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com list of "Top 10 Green Cars," demonstrating Ford's versatility as a hybrid manufacturer. Ford's MyKey(TM) teen-safety driving technology earned the 2009 Traffic Safety Achievement Award from a panel of judges at the New York International Auto Show's World Traffic Safety Symposium. It also was named on AAA's list of top-10 picks for technology available on 2009 and 2010 models. Ford F-150 SVT Raptor R Captures Second Podium Finish, Announces Pricing
The F-150 SVT Raptor R recently landed a second place finish in the Terrible's 250 race in the Best In the Desert Race Series, propelling it into second place in Class 8000 after two races in the 2009 season. Pricing details of the 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor were announced during the pre-race drivers meeting, with a MSRP of $38,995 for the 320 horsepower 5.4-liter V-8 engine truck when it arrives at dealers this summer.
