Society of Automotive Analysts' April 21 Breakfast Meeting Addresses 'Priming the Consumer and Commercial Credit Pump'
ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Society of Automotive Analysts (SAA) presents another in its series of networking breakfasts on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Somerset Inn in Troy, MI.
In developing this program, SAA president Thomas Libby noted that "President Obama and the U.S. Congress have passed legislation that will pour more than a trillion dollars into the U.S. financial system to stimulate demand and 're-start' the economy that is suffering through the worst recession in the last 75 years ago. Yet, even this amount may not be enough. Until lenders are sufficiently confident to start lending their capital, and until the U.S. consumer feels comfortable and confident, the U.S. economic 'engine' will remain stuck in neutral."
Confirmed presenters:
Beth Brockman -- automotive industry leader for GE Corporate Lending
Scott Eisenberg -- Partner (Mid-Market M&A), Amherst Partners, LLC
Gary Allgeier -- Director of Financial Services (consumer credit), The Suburban Collection
Event chair Lauren Eisbrenner added that these esteemed panelists will address the burning questions: "When will we reach and pass the inflection point? When will banks move forward? When will John Doe feel comfortable parting with his capital to obtain big-ticket items? When will the merger and acquisition market pick up? What will it take for these actions to occur? And who needs to step out in front and lead these efforts?"
These and other questions related to the current U.S. financial and credit crises will be addressed from several perspectives, including those of the consumer lenders, commercial lenders, and hedge funds, at this timely SAA meeting on Tuesday, April 21.
The networking breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m, program kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with a target conclusion of 10:00 a.m. The event takes place at the Somerset Inn, 2601 West Big Beaver Road (just east of Coolidge Road) in Troy, MI.
