ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Avid romance readers hungry to learn all they can about their favorite authors should look no further than "Borders True Romance," the new exclusive video program on Borders.com. Hosted by Borders' Romance Buyer Sue Grimshaw, the program is debuting at bordersmedia.com/trueromance with an exciting interview with New York Times bestselling and Kensington Publishing author Lisa Jackson. During the interview, Jackson dishes on "Malice," her upcoming hardcover sequel to "Lost Souls" that is due in stores March 31. Packed with twists and turns - the hallmarks of a great suspense story - and a captivating romance, "Malice" will appeal to mystery/thriller readers, book clubs and, of course, Jackson's many enthusiastic fans.
The 11-minute "Borders True Romance" episode kicks off a series of interviews with some of romance's biggest names, including Lisa Kleypas and Sherrilyn Kenyon. In the in-depth interviews, authors not only cover their upcoming books, but they reveal insights about themselves - how they started writing, which books they couldn't put down and what really makes them tick. In this episode, Lisa Jackson shares personal stories about what it was like writing "Wicked Game" with her sister, Nancy Bush, and the excitement she's feeling as she puts the finishing touches on "Chosen to Die," the sequel to fan-favorite "Left to Die," due out in August.
As part of "Borders True Romance," the retailer will also produce shorter segments featuring Grimshaw discussing hot new releases and sharing some of her personal favorites with viewers. "Borders True Romance" is just one of many compelling shows Borders.com offers customers as part of its Borders Media video programming, which also includes "Borders Book Club," "Borders Live at 01" and "Borders Kitchen."
Grimshaw, who joined Borders Group in 1995, has been the retailer's romance buyer for the past eight years and has emerged as a sought-after expert in her field. In 2008, she received the prestigious Vivian Stephens Industry Award from the Romance Writers of America (RWA). This award recognizes a professional in the romance-publishing industry who is not a writer, and whose accumulated body of work has contributed to the genre in a significant and continuing manner. Grimshaw is highly active in sharing her knowledge of the romance genre with others - she has spoken to thousands of romance writers and others over the years, holding workshops and giving her advice. Each year, she participates in several meetings and conferences, and she frequently consults with publishers on issues such as cover design and which titles will sell the best.
Grimshaw has been a guest blogger, appeared on a Bravo TV documentary and has served as a judge for various writing competitions. In addition to the 2008 RWA Industry Award, Grimshaw has received other honors, including becoming an honorary member in 2007 of the Harpers Ferry RWA chapter - only one of two individuals to receive such a distinction. In addition, she has received the 2005 and 2008 Colorado RWA Bookseller of the Year Award, the 2008 Helping Hand Industry Award from the Orange County Chapter of RWA and the Romance Times Book Club Appreciation Award in 2005, among others.
