OfficeMax Partners With Photofun to Launch Lowest Price Online Photo Service Available in U.S.

4x6 Photo Prints Available for Only 5 Cents Each; Plus Extensive Selection

of Customized Gift Options

NAPERVILLE, Ill., March 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --OfficeMax Incorporated (NYSE: OMX), a leader in office products and services, today announced that it has partnered with Photofun, Inc., a revolutionary online photo service, to enable consumers to purchase 4x6 prints for the lowest price available online in the U.S. - 5 cents per print. As a special promotion in March, OfficeMax is offering 75 free 4x6 photo prints for all participants that sign-up for the service between March 15 - 28, 2009.

"Photofun is a high quality online photo service that offers an extensive selection of unique photo gifts on the market today at an incredible value," said Ryan Vero, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for OfficeMax. "Many people are using their computers and digital cameras as virtual photo filing cabinets. Through our partnership with Photofun, we're making it easier and more affordable for customers to create memorable photo books and gifts to share with friends and family."

Is the 5-cent photo print a short term strategy to gain market share? Terry Rayner, president of Photofun says "No, we can offer this aggressive price because we have developed a web engine that drives our entire workflow. When a customer places an order on our website, whatever product they have selected is delivered to the printing device in real-time."

Rayner goes on to explain that the web-technology utilized allows OfficeMax customers to purchase photo books and gifts at 40 to 50 percent below current market prices on average for many items, while receiving products that are truly higher in quality. He continues "OfficeMax will be able to offer their customers outstanding savings, and in these tough economic times helping customers save money, without compromising on quality is a great deal!"

Photofun enables consumers to order photo prints in a variety of sizes in addition, creating custom photo books, calendars, canvas wall art, social cards, day planners, photo wallpaper, and much more. Customers will be able to upload and order prints online and receive 4x6 prints and photo gifts within three-seven business days.

OfficeMax customers can upload their hi-resolution images (JPEG, PDF and PNG files) and store them at no-charge. In contrast to other photo services Photofun does not "down-sample" the photos to reduce server space, but retains them in their original high-resolution format so that high quality products can be made.
