Philip A. Goodrich Appointed Vice President Business Development at Kaman Corp.
BLOOMFIELD, Conn., March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kaman Corp. (Nasdaq: KAMN) today announced the appointment of Philip A. Goodrich, 52, as Vice President - Business Development, reporting to Neal J. Keating, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Goodrich was most recently Senior Vice President, Corporate Development with Barnes Group, Inc. (NYSE: B), a Bristol, Connecticut based $1.4 billion global industrial products manufacturer and distributor. He will be responsible for strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, new market development activities for our existing products and services, and leading the company's new goal deployment initiative.
Keating said, "Phil brings with him tremendous experience in corporate development, and having served in that role at several public companies, he will make an immediate impact at Kaman in leading our efforts to find new markets for our technology and drive accelerated growth through acquisition. Prior to joining Barnes in 1999, Goodrich held similar positions with Ametek, Inc., Paoli, Pennsylvania; and General Signal Corporation, Stamford, Connecticut. He was previously with Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc. and Philip Morris, Inc. both of New York, New York. Goodrich is a 1977 graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He received an MBA in finance from the Wharton Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1979.
Phil, his wife Kim and their family live in Avon, Connecticut.
