Carolyn M. Sparks to Retire as Director of Southwest Gas Corporation
 

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Southwest Gas Corporation (NYSE: SWX) announced today that director Carolyn M. Sparks has given notice of her retirement from the Company's Board of Directors effective May 7, 2009, the end of her current term. Mrs. Sparks has been a member of the Company's Board of Directors since 1988 and is currently serving on the Compensation Committee and Pension Plan Investment Committee. The Company is grateful for her counsel, insight, advice, and dedicated service over the last two decades.
