EXETER, R.I., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- John Lynch is joining Carousel Industries as the New Regional Sales Director covering upper New York City, New York State, Long Island and Northern New Jersey territories. John will be accountable for developing and executing Carousel's go-to-market strategy overseeing all aspects of Carousel's extensive portfolio and partnerships in these regions. John will lead a sales team of professionals, and support staff focused exclusively on retention, growth objectives and superior customer satisfaction within the NY territories.
John comes to Carousel from Avaya where he was the Managing Director of the global IBM Alliance. In his Alliance role John was responsible for managing Avaya's overall business relationship with IBM which includes sell-to, sell-thru, buy-from, OEM, and joint technology dimensions. Prior to serving in his alliance role, John held leadership positions within Avaya's Global Accounts organization and served as Global Sales Vice President overseeing Avaya's business relationships with Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, St. Paul Travelers, Citizens Financial Group, Liberty Mutual, and Discover Financial Services. John and his teams were directly responsible for insuring the alignment of Avaya's solutions portfolio with the complex and unique business needs of these demanding financial services clients that yield in excess of $75M in annual revenues for Avaya.
John joined Avaya in 2004 and brings over 20 years of sales, IT, and business operations experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Avaya John was the Vice President and CIO at Abovenet where he was responsible for a team of 175 IT professionals and was accountable for the strategic planning and operation of 8 Tier I Internet datacenters, the firms managed services business, and Abovenet's corporate IT functions. Prior to Abovenet, John held various sales and IT positions at AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Metromedia Fiber Network.
John holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Scranton and has completed post graduate studies at Stevens Institute of Technology and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. John lives in Green, NJ with his wife and five children and an active member of the community.
