ZTE Strengthens Relationship with Germany's T-Mobile
SHENZHEN, China, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- ZTE Corporation ("ZTE"), the
leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions
today announced that it has established a cooperation with T-Mobile, one of
Europe's largest mobile operators. This cooperation covers handsets and data
card devices for mobile applications. T-Mobile and ZTE have declared a new
strategic partnership spanning all the European markets of T-Mobile.
The signing of a General Framework Agreement (GFA) on handsets and data
cards emphasizes the intention to strengthen the cooperation between T-Mobile
and the Chinese telecoms equipment provider. The GFA represents a contract
framework that spans the whole handling of a project and the possible
adjustments of ZTE's mobile products for T-Mobile. Both partners agreed on the
implementation of joint projects in the future. The GFA was signed on 18
November 2008 in Macao.
ZTE possesses a very good and long lasting relationship with Germany's
No.1 network operator Deutsche Telekom and it's affiliate T-Mobile. The
relationship has been stepped up considerably in the last few months, this is
why ZTE has opened a new office in Bonn. ZTE now has a dedicated business unit
in Bonn, aiming to support Deutsche Telekom in setting up modern
infrastructures for fixed and mobile networks.
