MEGA Brands moves into New York Toy Fair geared up with top preschool properties
MEGA Brands Provides Update on Key Licensing Partnerships as it Seeks to
Strengthen its Position as the Leading Preschool Construction Brand
MONTREAL, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - MEGA Brands Inc. (TSX: MB) announced today that it has successfully expanded its preschool product lines and play patterns with hot new properties to be unveiled at New York Toy Fair.
MEGA Brands recently announced the extension of their global licensing partnership with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to develop construction toys based on Nick Jr.'s hit preschool television series The Wonder Pets! and Ni Hao, Kai-lan. Nickelodeon is now the number-one entertainment brand for kids and the most-watched television network by kids in the United States, and basic cable's #1 network overall. Nickelodeon also has the top eight out of 10 shows for preschoolers on top networks across North America.
MEGA Brands also recently entered into a multi-year international licensing partnership with W!LDBRAIN, the award-winning entertainment company that develops and produces television programming, motion pictures, commercial content and licensed merchandise, to develop construction sets based on the hit preschool television series YO GABBA GABBA!
The Corporation will also develop preschool building playsets based on BBC Worldwide's award-winning and beloved preschool series In the Night Garden.

These new partnerships form the focus of the Corporation's ongoing licensing initiatives. The current licensing agreements with affiliates of The Walt Disney Corporation are expected to conclude at the end of 2009.
